Croatia
Why is MAGNA intervening in Croatia?
Croatia was part of the main migration route along which refugees arrived in Europe in 2015 and 2016. More than one million refugees and migrants arrived in Europe. Many of them were fleeing war-related conflicts in Asia and the Middle East.
In Croatia, through which nearly 610,000 refugees have passed, MAGNA has operated static clinics and mobile health facilities. On September 16, 2015, MAGNA sent its medical teams to Tovarnik, where we opened a mobile health facility for people gathering near the Tovarnik/Shid border crossing. MAGNA has become the largest healthcare provider in Croatia and the official partner of Croatia for healthcare provision in Opatovac and Slavonski Brod camps.
