MAGNA scale up operation in Lebanon
For the past few days, Lebanon has been hit by a massive series of explosions and bombings in areas of southern Lebanon, the Bekkah Valley and parts of Beirut. A million people, including MAGNA teams, had to leave their homes. Even as thousands of people flee, our teams are working around the clock.
Donate now
Help us save as many lives as possible. Children always suffer the most in war. Your help will help us provide medicine, food, hygiene supplies and other essential needs for children and their families affected by the war.
MAGNA teams currently provide psychological first aid to those who need it. Displaced families lack basic necessities, such as hygiene materials and mattresses, and after just a few days they experience a lack of food. In addition to psychosocial support, our teams of obstetric nurses contact their patients and their newborns, and we conduct remote consultations for our chronic patients. At the same time, we evaluate the need for help.

MAGNA in Lebanon runs free health services for the local poor population in the Baalbeck area, where it has been operating since 2016. Our help also goes to a large group of refugees from Syria who found refuge here before the war in their country. Our teams also responded to the explosion in Beirut in 2020. Our long-term presence on the ground helps us to intervene immediately and assess the needs of the local population as best as possible.
